Laser + Holistic Dental strives to provide quality health care to all patients in a timely manner. No-shows, late arrivals, and cancellations inconvenience not only our providers, but importantly, our other patients as well. Please be aware of our policy — fees apply.

Appointment Cancellation

When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other patients. In order to be respectful of your fellow patients, please call us on 03 9078 0387 as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.

If cancellation is necessary, we require that you contact us at least 48 or 72 business hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another patient access to that appointment time.

Notice for Cancelling Appointments

Laser + Holistic Dental is open Monday to Friday (excluding Victorian and National public holidays) from 9am to 5pm. Ensure to consider our business hours when determining how much notice you need to provide for cancelling appointments.

Required Notice

  • 48 business hours notice is required for appointments scheduled for less than 2 hours.
  • 72 business hours notice is required for appointments scheduled for 2 hours or more.

Late Cancellations / No-Shows

A cancellation is considered late when the appointment is cancelled less than 48 or 72 business hours before the appointed time. This same policy applies when appointments are rescheduled. The required notice is defined above and is dependent on the duration of your scheduled appointment.

A no-show is when a patient misses an appointment without cancelling. In either case, we will charge the patient a missed appointment fee.

Missed Appointment Fees

  • New patients: A no-show or late cancellation will result in a full charge of the new patient fee.
  • Existing patients: A no-show or late cancellation will result in a full charge of the deposit paid.
  • If no deposit has been paid, the following fees apply unless otherwise specified:
    • $150 for appointments up to 1 hour
    • $300 for appointments longer than 1 hour but less than 2 hours
    • $500 for appointments 2 hours or more
