At Laser + Holistic Dental we take a careful, thorough approach to orthodontics for adults. As the jaw bone is mature (unlike with children) there are a range of different variables to consider such as bone health and previous dental restorations.

When a specialist recommends extraction of teeth or jaw surgery – they are approaching the orthodontic issues from a speed perspective. In our opinion – prioritising speed for orthodontics is a short sighted approach.

Treatment Options

When considering orthodontics for adults, our preferred treatment is Invisalign – for three main reasons:

The Invisalign System is a virtually invisible and hygienic orthodontic treatment that uses a series of custom-made removable aligners created for you.

These aligners are made of a hi-tech polymer that you wear over your teeth to gradually move them to the ideal position. Most people won’t even notice you are wearing them, allowing you live freely while straightening any crooked teeth.
