Reflecting on her dental career to date, Dr Sutanter says “it has been exciting, varied and challenging. Working with Dr Lisa in the past was inspiring – she is a great mentor. Moving to New South Wales allowed me to take on different challenges on my own and allowed me to practice in a range of different environments. I learnt a lot from that experience, and recently have pushed my knowledge further with CPD courses both in Australia and overseas.”
Dr Sutanter has recently completed an intensive oral surgery course in Malaysia, focusing on complex and impacted tooth extractions. “Dr Sutanter has shown great initiative with her investments in learning and she has impressed me by already being certified in the Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique (SMART)” – says Dr Lisa.
“I am excited to take advantage of the technology available at Laser + Holistic Dental. Having access to latest imaging equipment will provide quicker and more accurate images. CBCT scanning technology has unparallelled diagnostic capabilities, detail and definition – and I’m also looking forward to using all of the laser equipment for disinfection and healing.”
Looking forward to the future of dentistry, Dr Sutanter thinks that “we are going to see a shift in dental care from disease and treatment to a focus on prevention and healing. The importance of patient education centred around good dental hygiene, good sleep hygiene and a strong nutritional foundation for optimum daily health and wellness cannot be understated – and I think that reinforces the value behind a holistic approach to dentistry.”
